A PIP assessment may take place in person, by phone or by video, and a health professional will ask how your condition affects daily living and mobility activities. Explain what happens on your more difficult days, how often difficulties occur, and whether you need prompting, supervision, aids or help from another person; do not feel you have to minimise your problems. You can ask for reasonable adjustments, such as breaks, and may be able to request an audio recording in advance. The assessor provides information, but the DWP makes the decision after considering your form, evidence and assessment report; check the latest guidance on GOV.UK.
