A PIP assessment may be by telephone, video or in person, and usually covers how your condition affects specific daily living and mobility activities. Explain what happens on your typical and difficult days, including any help, aids, prompting or supervision you need, and provide relevant medical evidence if you have it. You can ask for reasonable adjustments and, where allowed, have someone with you. The assessor writes a report, but the final decision is made by the Department for Work and Pensions; check the latest guidance on GOV.UK for details.
