The PIP daily living component helps with extra costs if a long-term physical or mental health condition makes everyday activities difficult, such as preparing food, washing, dressing, communicating or managing medication. It is separate from the mobility component, and may be paid at either a standard or enhanced rate depending on how many points you receive for the relevant activities.
